Tips and Wisdom for Backcountry Adventurers
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ADVENTURE TOURS, SO BEFORE YOU GO OUT THERE -
EDUCATE YOURSELF, GET PREPARED, BE SAFE AND BE AWARE.
Always educate yourself about the wildlife in the area before running of into the back country (wild animals and wild people!). Find out tips and precautions that are necessary for the particular area you are in. Just talking to people that are in and around the area at the time of your arrival might be able to give you some helpful tips.
Always remember when you are backpacking in the back country leave a note in your parked car where you went, so people could track you down. Or let some of your friends know where you are going before you go back country hiking. You should not hike alone.
Find out about the basics things you need even for just a short hike in the back country. (i.e. WATER, FOOD, KNIFE, FLASHLIGHT, BLANKET, FIRST AID KIT etc.)
